Permits and Licenses:

Every aspect of Noranda's recycling business is directed to maintain complete environmental accountability. Our team of environmental and regulatory specialists works in close cooperation with government agencies to ensure that Noranda's Environmental Management Systems meet or exceed all legal requirements and best practices. Noranda publishes an annual Sustainable Development report detailing the proactive measures that we take to achieve our goal of meeting world-class environmental standards at all our recycling operations.

The following permits are generally applicable to any industrial facility and are held by each Noranda facility as required by the relevant local governmental authorities:

  • Business license
  • Air permits for furnaces, baghouses and scrubbers
  • Stormwater discharge permits
  • Hazardous waste generator registration
  • Hazardous materials storage registration
