Reclaim Technology (PM Recovery)

  • Scrap Sampling and Recovery

  • Circuit boards are prepared for smelting, sampled, and assayed for precious metal content. Sampling of high value materials occur at the US locations. Recovery of the precious metals occurs at the Horne copper smelter and is deposited in copper anodes which are then refined at Noranda's copper and precious metals refinery.
  • Recovery through smelting and refining
Precious metal is recovered at the copper smelter through three stages of refinement: the reactor, the converters, and the anode furnaces which produce a 99.1% pure copper anode. The high temperature reactor destroys all proprietary materials.
Precious metals are recovered with the copper and are alloyed in the anode product sent to the CCR Refinery. Anodes from the Horne smelter are refined into pure copper and precious metals for sale on world markets.
